Ruan Coetzee is the founder and director of The Practice Pad. After obtaining his Bachelor's degree in Education, Ruan went on to teach in a public school in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. Having a thirst for knowledge and a curiosity for the world, Ruan went to Qatar in the Middle East, and taught in an International British School for five years. He has spent most of his holidays traveling to different countries, exploring their ways of doing, thinking and teaching. He is currently at an International School in Vietnam, from where he spends all his free time helping students in South Africa reach their full potential, by means of online interaction.

Ruan Coetzee is die stigter en direkteur van 'The Practice Pad'. Nadat hy sy graad in Onderwys verwerf het, het Ruan voortgegaan om in 'n publieke skool in die Noordelike Voorstede van Kaapstad te onderrig. Met 'n dors na kennis en 'n nuuskierigheid vir die wêreld, het Ruan na Qatar in die Midde-Ooste gegaan en vir vyf jaar in 'n Internasionale Britse Skool skoolgegee. Hy het die meeste van sy vakansies deurgebring deur verskillende lande te besoek en hul maniere van dink, doen en onderrig te verken. Hy is tans by 'n Internasionale Skool in Viëtnam, waar hy al sy vrye tyd deurbring deur Suid-Afrikaanse studente te help om hul volle potensiaal te bereik deur middel van aanlyn interaksie.
